VaNa MaZi

The name 'VaNa MaZi' is an amalgamation of languages having various significances reflecting the multi cultural element of the music crossing Greek and eastern european folk with italian and french jazz styles as well as classical influences and Central Asian throat singing... respecting tradition yet seeking a more progressive sense of interpreting the music and not being limited to one particular genre.

Our Story
We are VaNa MaZi, a four piece acoustic band consisting of diverse musical backgrounds, with an intense desire to grow and be challenged. We share a common interest in the traditional music of Eastern Europe, Asia Minor, and the Mediterranean... and we are neighbors. To each of us, a sense of community is an important part of humanity, and the exploration of culture is wonderfully achieved through exposure to various communities.

The Plan
We will travel to Eastern Europe to learn, share, and record music with local musicians, some of whom we've met in past travels. We will compensate them financially for their time in the studio with us. We'll return with knowledge, a compilation CD, and a DVD documenting our experience that we will share with you. You can live vicariously through our adventures by following our progress online along the way.

The Impact
This is an opportunity to experience a first-hand account of a people's culture and collective memory through some of the most powerful forms of human expression. Collaborating with local musicians in multiple cities and towns, we intend to create a full length record of songs made in professional studios, as well as from raw field recordings. This will help to share our spin on traditional music with the east and in turn bring a more authentic sense of its origins back to the west.
Curiosity is an invaluable virtue that keeps minds and hearts healthy and alive.

Naked Vibrations hat ihre cd auf den Markt geworfen, sie spielten rundum, begeisterten polen, slovenen, ungarn und österreicher und werden in einer kompletten Großformation bei limmitationes auftreten.

Die Rootsreggae Band Naked Vibrations aus dem Osten Österreichs verbreitet mit ihrem erdigen Sound und ihrer spürbaren Liebe zur Musik vom ersten Moment an gute Stimmung, die zum Tanzen einladet. Durch den intensiven und ununterbrochenen Kontakt zum Publikum und die dabei entstehende Energie wird jedes Konzert zu einem Erlebnis für die Sinne. Die Vielseitigkeit der Musiker zeigt sich durch die häufigen Instrumentenwechsel.
Seit 5 Jahren fungiert die Band als eine Plattform im In-und Ausland, über die sich verschiedenste Künstler und Künstlerinnen ausdrücken und auch ihre Spuren hinterlassen. Momentan gibt es in der 7-köpfigen Band 4 Songwriter die mit ihren systemkritischen Texten in Englisch und Deutsch zum Nachdenken anregen.
